"True Blood" Showrunner Alan Ball Set to Exit the Series

Per his contract, if (and it seems certain) "True Blood" gets extended for a sixth season in 2013, showrunner Alan Ball will take on a supervisory role and will no longer be the shows day-to-day showrunner. Ball will remain on as executive producer and advise on True Blood as well as develop a possible new series for HBO. His new series "Banshee," for which he serves as executive producer,is expected to begin production this spring for Cinemax.

In the meantime "True Blood" fans can get a teaser for this May's Season 5 premiere below.
